Sustainability

Read below some of the improvements I have made to make my business more sustainable.
Packaging

My products are delivered to you in fully recyclable and compostable packaging. I shred waste paper and cardboard to protect delicate items instead of using bubble wrap.

My branded packing tape is FSC certified and made from 100% recycled content, it is water activated and printed with soy-based inks allowing it to easily break down.

My logo stickers are also FSC certified, made from acid free paper and soy based inks.

The supplier I use have formed an Eco-Packaging alliance and are planting trees for every order contributing to global reforestation.

Energy

My business, as well as my home, is powered by Ecotricity.

They're a fully green energy supplier. Their electricity is generated by wind and sun parks around Britain and their gas is a mix of carbon-neutralised natural gas and sustainable green gas.
Recycling Scheme

I aim to operate a fully circular economy where all waste is reused and repurposed.

If you own a product made by me that gets damaged, please get in touch. If I am able to fix it I will do so for a small fee, ensuring it has a long life. If it is beyond repair it can be returned to me to be recycled.

In 2021 I am launching a new range of products made from my recycled waste. The packaging my materials are delivered in, old moulds, sanding discs, resin bottles, offcuts and samples are all being broken down and repurposed to create new products which are made to last.

Materials

The main materials in my designs are bio resin, pewter and silver.

Where possible I source recycled metals, sometimes buying disused pewter or silver items which I melt down. If using silver sheet or wire I purchase eco silver which is manufactured using recycled silver from the jewellery, giftware, medical and electronic industries.

I use a bio resin which has been developed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by replacing some of the petroleum-based components with bio-based renewable material.
